Show no in to CLOSE DOORS BUT Attendance for Week Shatters All Records in Local Motordom Today la tha last day of tha fourteenth four-teenth annua Salt Lake automobile show at Bonneville pavilion. Last night when tha doors closed upon tha last departing; rial tor the total to-tal attendance figures had exceeded by several thousand those for, the entire week of last year's show, marking the present exhibit aa the most successful success-ful in point of attendance of all local auto shows. In point of real interest manifeatad In the motorcar and accessories acces-sories tha 121 show has also been more successful. Five Nash ears, complete In every i detail, form an interesting exhibit of I the Pacific Nash Motor company. A I feature is a Nash sportster with a beautiful California top. A Nash chassis lighted to reveal every feature of motor and running gear ia another companion exhibit. The special I'alge carw!th silvered AUk wheels Is regarded 'as one of the most beautiful jobs ever shown at a local show. It and the anow white Paige chassis, fitted especially for show purposes, are attracting widespread wide-spread attention and the entire exhibit ex-hibit la one of the most complete and attractive In the big pavilion. Studebaker car In every design and model are exhibited In the booth of the T. W. and L. O. Naylor Automobile company. These are four-cylinder light Studebaker and the heavier six-cylinder six-cylinder cars. Coupes. - sedans. roadsters road-sters and touring modela are shown, together with a light six chassis. A green Cole eight Is the center of all eyea at the exhibit of the Grady Motorcar company, vleing with tho different dif-ferent Reo modela ahown by the same company In general Interest. A Reo chassis rests on a black velvet covered dim, making a beautiful and attractive effect. The Ford Motor company exhibit centera Interest in the contrast between the Ford and Liberty motors. A Ford coupe and Ford roadster are also on exhibition. Chevrolets In six different models are shown by the Chevrolet Motorcsr company. A yellow roadster Is the most striking of the cars on show, but the other designs also win the plaudits of admiring crowds. One of the show's most novel displays dis-plays Is that of the Z. C. M. I. It is a complete motorcar built of accessories handled by tho concern. A wax dummy drives the car. The Salt Lake Hardware company features a display of auto repairing machinery, olla and toola, although Its exhibit of parts and accessories la also exceptionally complete. Another hardware company, the Strevell-Paterson Hardware company, in ita display specialises on tires, bumpers and varioue ' accessories. Their line Is evidently a varied and complete one. A beautiful yellow touring car with a handsome black top proves attention demanding at the booth set sslde for Frank Chugg and Rarle B. Crawford. They combine auto painting, top building build-ing and aeat covera in their exhibit. Mack's Non-Glare headlights receive an excellent demonstration with two constantly burning headllghta allowing how rigidly the device conform with the auto lighting ordinancea. Tho Bentley" Steel Wheel company haa a fine exhibit of the Bentley steel wheels sold locally through the J. A. Greenewsld company. Other work performed at the Winter plant In the way of piston and other repairs snd replacements la also shown in neat displays. Two Hariey-Davidson motorcyclea and a aidecar are dlaplayed by the Houae of Hopper, local distributors for the poputsr motorcycle. Accessories designed for the motorcycle rider and hie comfort are ahown, including a folding tent and bed for camping. The Gill Piston Ring company shows a complete line In all sixes of th famous fa-mous Gill piston ring. Harry Bracken exhibit several cyl- inder grinding machines to show the completeness snd efficiency of hi Social So-cial Hall avenue plant. Gaa tanks of every description feature fea-ture the exhibit of S. F Bowser A Co. The Double Seal 1'iaton Ring company com-pany shows a apecial radiator fan and an electric drill machine In addition to Ita complete line of piston rings. The Capital Electric company has a very attractive dlsplsy of auto accessories, acces-sories, a feature of which is a complete battery torn apart to reveal the inner secrets and working gear of an automobile auto-mobile battery. The Century Printing company Is distributing free colored picture on fine paper of Utah's scenic wonders. |
