Show BUSINESS CLUB TO HOLD BIGBANQUET President John D. Spencer to Welcome Guests The charter banquet of the Progressive Pro-gressive Business Men's club will he ! held in the ballroom of the Hotel Utah Saturday evening at 7 oVlock. The af-' I fair will be formal. The address of welcome will be made by John D. Spencer, president. He will also introduce' the toastmaster. Dr. K. G. Gowans. Presentation of the charter will be made by Roy B. Maxey of Modesto. Cal president 'of the national organization. organ-ization. Response of acceptance will be made by Dr. David Andrew, national vice president and director of the Salt Lake club. Honorary guests and three-minute speakers will include Governor Mabey. Mayor C. Clarence Neslen. C. B. Haw-lev Haw-lev of the Commercial club. Wesley K. King of the Rotary club, Carl W. Scott of the Kiwanls club. Daniel V. Gates of the Triangle club and Gus Wright of th Ogden Progressive Business .Business Men's club. The musical program Includes a e- I lection from Robin Hood opera by the Salt Lake opera, quintette of which ! Fred C. Graham is conductor: piano selection, "Octave Etude' llss Becky I Almond: tenor solo. "Arioso Pagliacci." David Heese. and special music by the Cannon trio. Itancing will be enjoyed from :S0 o'clock until midnight. |
