Show ALL AUTO AGENCIES WILLSEa SERVICE Feature U Assuming Place of Importance "Kervic will be sold over the counter of every automobile agency in America Amer-ica during 1921." said W. D. Itlshel. manager of the Halt Lake Auto show, yesterday. Mr. Rlshel based his slate- I ment on the importance which this, feature Is assuming in the motor world as indicated by the Kastern shows and ' by the tendency of local dealers In s I shaping their displays at the I or a show which opens at Bonneville pavilion pavil-ion on Monday.- "Instead of selling automobiles and then giving no more service than Is necessary, the automobile dealer o today to-day will sell service first: and on the quality of that service will depend the volume of his car sales. This is the logical development of the industry," Mr. Kishel declared. "It Is transportation that the dealer Is selling. His car may be wonderful In every respect, but If he cannot give tiulck and reliable attention to the mechanical defects developed during use. his machine becomes a liability to hi customers. And in the keen competition which will mark ail busi-- busi-- ncss during the nest few years. the dealer who falls behind in service efficiency ef-ficiency will be out of the running." Factory experts have reached similar simi-lar conclusions and they are bending every effort to coordinate their work with that of their dealers' service men This has resulted In the elevation of the service department to the principal factor In the automotive Industry according ac-cording to analysts who have made a careful aurvry of the situation. |
