Dawes, Chicago banker, who has prominently been under consideration considera-tion for appointment aa aecretary of the treasury, headed President-elect Harding's Hard-ing's appointment list today with a conference that started a new train of cabinet speculation here. Once conceded to have flrat call on the treasury portfolio, but more recently recent-ly regarded as a less formidable contender con-tender for the place, Mr. Dawes has become be-come one of the mystery men of the cabinet problem. It was said at Harding Hard-ing headquarters that hia call was not the result of a formal appointment made at Mr. Harding's requeat. Others with whom Mr. Harding had appointments today Included Henry A. Wise Wood of New Tork, interested in aviation projects. WIRELESS PLAN. WASHINGTON, Keb. 12. Presidentelect President-elect Harding's Inaugural addreas may be heard from Washington through the wonders of wireless. Ml, Harding is considering a plan to have the address recorded on talking machine records and then transmitted by radio telephone from the naval wireless wire-less station here on the night of March 4. Thousands of wireless amateura In the East and Middle West, It Is said, are equipped to receive It and it la being proposed that such amateurs organise parties for hearing the address. Amateurs all over the East are already al-ready bombarding the president-elect to agree to tha plan. LOWDEN DECLINES. WASHINGTON, Keb. 12.
