Worker Dies Andrew Joseph Hogan, 72, retired re-tired dispatcher for tha Utah Light and Traction company and resident of Salt Lake City for 30 ytars, died at his home, 276 Tenth Earn street, Friday morning. He had been In 111 health for some time. Mr. Hogan was born In Troy, N. Y, June 18, 1867. When a young man he went to Colorado, where he engaged in the mining business. busi-ness. He came to Salt Lake City 30 years ago, was employed by the traction company and worked his way to the position of dispatcher. He retired in January, 1939. Mr. Hogan was a member of the Quarter Quar-ter Century club of the company. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Hogan Is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary A. O'Neill Hogan, Ho-gan, and two daughters. Miss Grace Marie Hogan, Spanish instructor in-structor at the University of Utah, and Mrs. Ethel Hogan Hanson, organist or-ganist In tha Cathedral of the Madeleine. Holy rosary will be recited at the family home Sunday at 8 p. m. and requiem high mass will be sung in tha cathedral Monday at 10 a. m. Interment will be In Mt Calvary cemetery. |
