Show MRS. THOMPSON ' RITES ARRANGED Privet funeral service for Mre. F.mlly Pugsley Thompson, widow of Kira Thompaon, Utah capitaliat and former mayor of Salt Lake City, will be conducted at the family home, 529 Eaat South Tempi street, with the Very Rev. Franklin L. Gibson, dean of St. Mark cathedral, i In charge. Interment will be In ' - the City cemetery. " ' The family request that flower . be omitted. I ' Mrs. Thompson died Tueeday morning at tha home of her son, 1 Kira P. Thompson, In Woodsid, Cal., whrr she had been visiting for the past aix week. She had been III for about a month and last Saturday member of th family wer aummoned to her bedaide, her condition at that time being teemed critical. At the bedside when ehe died were her four children, Mra. II. Ross Brown, Lynn H. Thompson, Exra P. Thompson and Clyde R. Thompaon. Thomp-aon. After th death of her husband on April 8, 1923, Mrs. Thompaon apent much time In travel, both In the United 8tate and abroad. She visited In th middle west and In th east during the paat aummar and had flown from New York City to Salt Lake City a short time before going to California. For three yeara after her marriage mar-riage to Mr. Thompson in ISM, they lived in Salt Lake City, during which time Mr. Thompaon waa engaged en-gaged in th freighting business. In 1889 they moved to Park City, where Mr. Thompson waa associated asso-ciated with th development of some of th greatest mine In th district. dis-trict. They returned to Salt Lake City seven yeara later. During their stay in Park City. Mr. Thompson served on th city council of that community and later he served as mayor of Salt Lake City from 1898 to 1904. |
