H la very proud of the yard about his home at 356 Hubbard avenue. Captain Beckstead began hi police po-lice career on March 13, 1)06, as a beat patrolman, serving until 1913, when he left the department until 1916. In 1911 . he again left the department to servs as a deputy sheriff. Returning to the police department depart-ment in 1920, he served continuously continu-ously until hi retirement in 1935.
