Show T. A. CALLISTER DIESJT HOME Thomas Albert Callister, 6. wsll known Utah Republican and prominent prom-inent in the sheep and printing buaineeses, died early Wednesday at his home. JM G street. A son of Mr. and Mra. Edward Callister, he was born January 15, UW, in Salt Laks City. Mr. Callister waa ona of the founders of the Star Printing company, com-pany, the second printing establishment establish-ment in Salt Lake City. He was also ona of the Incorporator of tha old Intermountain Republican and later tha Herald-Republican. Mr. Callister carried on tha Star Printing company until 1920, wheh ha became chief deputy of the Internal In-ternal revenue bureau, which position posi-tion he held until 132. Since 132 he had been field manager of the Zlon s Building society. Early in his lit Mr. Callister had extensive sheep and grazing land holdings in eastern Wyoming. Always active In affairs of the Republican party in Utah, Mr. Callister Cal-lister waa ona of tha originators of the Young Men's Republican club. Surviving are his widow, Mra. Bertha Jamee Callister, Salt Lake City; four sons, K. J. Callister. Los Angclen. Cal.; Rulph V.. T. Kenneth Ken-neth and Dr. A. Cyril Callister, Salt Lake City: three daughters. Mrs. Frank 8. Emery and Mrs. Frank Archer, Suit Lake City, and Mrs. Anton Willsmson, Wllkea-Barre, Pa., and 14 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were In abeyance lata Wednesday pending word from Mrs. Wlllcmson. |
