Show PROJECT GIVEN -TGHORDAIfHIGH N T A officials at Washington. D. C, Thursday approved a I1,M0 project at Jordan high achool to employ 10 young man for six month, according to word received by Clifford Bletiacker, state project supervisor. "TTieroTecTTalirTor construction of foundation, footing and heating tunnel for th new 1300.000 Jordan high achool trades and industrial building, for demolishing a one-story one-story frame ahop building now on the alte and reclaiming materials therefrom and for demolishing a brick heating plant. Work ia to start January 4. with the Jordan school district furnishing furnish-ing transportation from Salt Lak City for approximately 60 young men. Tha rest of the workers are to be hired in the Jordan district. Federal portion of the project cost amounta to $M1.1. while the sponsor spon-sor will put up S9M1.S0. Glen E. Hale, who haa supervised super-vised the heavy construction portion por-tion oINYA project at Murray, will supervise the Jordan Job. Foreman will be Lorenzo Hathaway, Hath-away, who was first employed by N Y A a mn ""'"til wnrksr In March, lHJI, later was transferred to industrial art work and haa since, with N Y A training, qualified as a foreman. Mr. Bletiacker said. "As many young men aa possible will be hired in the Jordan district, but it appears that three-fourth of ehe young workers will have to be hired from Salt Lake City," Mr. Bletsacker aaid. |
