Show THISTLE RAIL SHOPS READYJO REOPEN HELPER Reopening of the Thistle railroad shops, which were destroyed by fire September 17, is scheduled for Saturday, Trainmaster Trainmas-ter J. R. Loftis of the Denver & Rio Grande Western sailroad said Thursday. The roundhouse, coal chute and coal bine were burned down in the blaze, damage totaling an estimated 140.000. The new coal chute, which will incorporate in-corporate a five-ton sand bin, is so . constructed that trains on both main tracks may be supplied with fuel and sand simultaneously. Th-9 engine house will be of sufficient suf-ficient size to accommodate six large Malley type locomotives. New machinery in the building is valued at S10.000. Office quarters will occupy oc-cupy one corner of the shops. |
