The Millera trounced Columbus last night, T to 1, to shove the Red Birds back into aecond place. A homer apiece by Kress and Pfleger accounted for five of the aeven runs. Toledo remained one game back of first place and a half game behind be-hind Columbus by scoring a run in ths ninth to defeat St. j?aul. S to 2. Indianapolis staged a 22-hit carnival car-nival at ths expense of Al Milnar and Bill Zuber to wallop Milwaukee, 16 to 4. Every Indian hit safely at least once. Kansaa City defeated Louisville, 5 to 2, for its seventh victory in its last nins home games. Ths Colonels outhit Kansas City, 12 to 9, but were unable to bunch their blows off Ted Kleinbani. |
