Show UTAH'S GROCERS 1 SET MEET DATE - Utah's grocers, more than 1000 strong, will assemble In Ogden on August 22, 23 and 24 for their annual an-nual state convention, being planned this year around th theme, "Service to the public," it was announced an-nounced Wednesday. Msny stores throughout th stats will be closed ths afternoon of August Au-gust 23 to enable clerks to attend the Employes' day program at the convention, according te Alan O. Wood, president of th Utah Retail Grocers' association. Feature events of ths day will be a two-act play entitled "Turnover" and demonstrating ths most modern mod-ern merchandising methods, and an entertainment provided by the Stimulators, Stim-ulators, an organisation of food manufacturers and distributors headed by Heber Scowcroft of Ogden. Og-den. Discussions Planned Discussions of credits and collections, collec-tions, delivery problems, customer relationships, advertising and stors management are planned for the business sessions. General convention arrangements Are under tbo charge of Gerard Klomp, Ogden, chairman; A. D. Stewart, V. A. Tracy, Carl Orlob and George Morgan of Salt Lake City; Fred Kuhlmann, Francis Nicholas and Mr. Scowcroft of Og-4" Og-4" Th women's program Is being arranged by Mrs. Gerard Klomp, chairman; Mrs. Gomer Nicholas, Mrs. Dewey Frank and Mrs. Heber Scowcroft of Ogden; Mrs. Alan G. Wood. Mrs. Vera N. Fisher. Mrs. Joseph F. Baman, Mrs. George I Morgan and Mrs. Carl Orlob, Salt Lake City. I Out-of-Stato Quests I Grocers' organisation officials from California and Idaho and manufacturers' re pre sentativea from New York City, Chicago, Den- ver, San Francisco and Los Angeles An-geles are expected to attend ths convention, along with the Utahna.
