Show Kiddies to Give j Civic Operetta Th first children's civic operetta' ever presented In Salt Lake City; will be given at Fairmount park on Thursday and Friday at 8:15 p. m. The operetta, 'The Witch of Gin- gerbread House," written especial-j ly for ths occasion, will be present-' ed by children of Ths Salt Lake1 Tribune-Telegram Knighthood of Youth, combined with ths efforts' of the Salt Lake Civic orchestra.! ths Utah WPA artists' project and the city recreation department P. K. Ripka will direct the or-; chestra. Miss Helen Wilson of the city recreation department Is director direc-tor of the entire production. Miss A ft on Pitt and Miss Jean Nichols will bs musical accompanists. Bruce, Clayton Is dance director. j The city recreation department has furnished all costumes for the elaborate production and will pro-j vide ths park, lights and stage prop-: ertles, Ths fantasy ts a result of more than six weeks of rehearsals, with 300 children taking part.
