Show Illness Puts Cub Manager on Shelf BOSTON. July 1 (UP) Charley Grimm, ailing manager of the league leading Chicago Cubs, said he would leave today for St. Louis to be treated for a recurring sciatic condition of th right leg. He will arrive there Saturday and will be treated by Dr. Robert Hy-land, Hy-land, club physician of th fit. Louis Brown and Cardinals. In th absence of Grimm, Catcher-Captain Catcher-Captain Charles (Gabby) Hartnett will be in charge of the team, which coss a three-game series with the Boston Bees today. |
