JAIL BREAKER GIVESSELF UP PRICE Lawrence Adams, 23, ana of three men vhe escaped from the.. Carbon county Jail Friday, walked into the sheriffs office Saturday Sat-urday morning, giving himself up. Working on leads furnished by Adams, Sheriff S. M. Bliss and his deputies are on the trail of the other two fugitives, Elbert E. Pierce, 21, and George Penrod, alias Raymond Flynn, 29. Ths men are understood to have taken the road east, hitch hiking. Officers from Pennsylvania wsre to have arrived Friday to return Penrod to the Rockview prison, from which he escaned soma time ago. Adams has served time in the Utah state penitentiary on several sev-eral occasions. Pierce has a long record in Sallda, Amarillo and Denver. Den-ver. The escape was accomplished by awing the heavy Iron acreen Inner door and unlocking the outer door vith a key they had made. Officers Offi-cers did not know how ths men obtained a saw.
