OCR Text	Show NEW YORK ARTIST TRIED AS DESERTER By United Press. SAN ANTONIO. Tex., Oct. 2. Findings Find-ings of a court martial which yesterday tried Maurice Becker, New York artist and cartoonist, on charge of desertion from Camp Bowls. Ft. Worth, were expected ex-pected to be made publlo today. Despite Becker's plea, made through hi attorneys, that he bad always been a conscientious objector, th court held the evidence of the defendant Irrelevant, as he had registered In. Delaware, later fleeing to Mexico. He was recently arreted ar-reted at Laredo, Tex.
