The Deseret gym took over the sponsorship itself last winter when Vines and Perry came around for the second time. The local net fraternity was none too enthusiastie about an encore from the same opponents and the show was none too well attended, which explains to a large extent why the troupe is not booked here this winter. Vines and Perry split matches in their Salt Lake series. With Don Budge In the pro ranks now, however, It appears that local promoters ar passing up a mighty good attraction simply because of last year's disappointing turnout. turn-out. In other words, Budge supplies new color and glamor to the show. Besides being a new face, bo also Is one of the most talked-about characters in the sports world today. With proper promotion and publicity, bo literally packs the bouses where the pros play. For proof one need but look at the records, which show that the current tour is far ahead of previous pro swings so far as gats receipts are concerned.
