Show "WHOSE BABY ABE YOTJf" The friends of Miss June Mathis turned out at the Grand theater last night to welcome wel-come her as the leading woman of "Whose Baby Are You." The lively farce is rs breezy as ever, and quite as laughable, but the audience was interested primarily v last night in the work of Miss Mathis, .tt'ho R Madge Morton, one of the babies in question, shows all the cleverness for , which she Is remembered by a host of Salt Lakers. Tho farce begins when Madge Morton is .'sent by her father to tho watchful care of an old friend. Walter, Mylton, Br. In his anxiety to warn his old friend of the arrival ar-rival of his only daughter, Mr. Morton writes Mr. Mylton. asking him to take good care of his baby Madge. The letter, however, falls into the hands of Mylton, Jr., who reads it to two of his chums. The young, fellows are amazed at the old man's action in sending a baby to them, but they determine to hold out to the last, and here the fun begins. John F. Ward as Walter Mylton, Sr., aids Miss Mathis in keeping the fun rolling, roll-ing, and the rest of the players Join in the chorus. Three Salt Lake babies also made their appearance last night, and they played their parts so well by remaining quiet that the audience gave them a curtain cur-tain call. - "Whose Baby Are Tou" is row in its third year, and has become one of the standard farces of the popular-priced circuit. cir-cuit.
