When the people make up their minds they are not slow to express their sentiments senti-ments at the polls. Judge Parker recognized the inevitable early in the action and gracefully surrendered. There was no use'claiming everything" against so palpably hopeless odds. Now that the election Is over, let us settle down to business and make prosperity as permanent as possible. Let the wheels of industry hum, the energy ener-gy of the farmer and the miner be redoubled. Let us all be happy and give the world asurance of a nation na-tion of peace, law and order.
