Rasband also introduced intro-duced a bill for the reorganization of the Board of Eauallzatlon to consist .of four members, three of 'Whom shall be of -one political party. Other bills Introduced were S. B. No. 12, by McKay (by request), providing for the Investigation of the proper use of irrigation water by the State in cooperation co-operation with the irrigation investigations investiga-tions of the United States Department of Agriculture, etc., and for an appropriation appro-priation of $10,000 to carry on the work. S. B. No. 16, by Bennlon, amending section 628, Revised Statutes of 1898, authorizing au-thorizing County Recorders to administer admin-ister oaths as well as take, acknowledgments, acknowl-edgments, a B. No. 17. by Holllngs-worth, Holllngs-worth, requiring the Secretary of State to give a bond in the sum of $25,000. S. B. No. 18, by Lawrence (by request), re-quest), providing for the recording of plats of cemeteries, certificates, etc. Committee on Judiciary. S. B. No. 13, by Lewis, amending sections sec-tions 2544 and 2545, Revised Statutes, 189S, and providing penalties for wrong returns of property for assessment. for the publication of- assessment rolls, punishment of county , officials, etc. Committee on Ways and Means. The Governor recommended an appropriation ap-propriation of $1200 to cover a deficit of the State Mental hospital. The resolution of the special committee commit-tee calling on the State Auditor to fur-. fur-. . ntsh the Legislature with information of the number and amount of certificates certifi-cates issued for bounty went over until un-til Monday upon request of Holllngs-worth, Holllngs-worth, who promised to have an amendment ready by that time. The Joint memorial petitioning Congress Con-gress to enact such legislation as will better control and regulate corporations corpora-tions and give to the Interstate Commerce Com-merce Commission additional power, also went over until Monday. |
