J. Burns was read and Johnson pleaded guilty. Attorney C. F. Loofbourow was representing rep-resenting the defendant. He asked the court that the penalty might be fixed -. , In the nature of a fine, which the de- - fendant was willing to pay. District Attorney Eichnor explained that the reason why the charge was changed ' from assault with a deadly weapon with . ' Intent to do bodily harm to the present charge was because of some questionable question-able testimony given by some of the' witnesses, and said that he had no objections ob-jections to a fine being Imposed. - --- Judge Morse then sentenced Johnson to pay a fine of $150 or in lieu thereof to spend an equal number of days in Jail. Johnson went? directly into the County Clerk's office and paid the fine. , |
