For a long time there has been some talk of a company being formed In the East, to be chartered for $5,000,000, for the purpose of operating - mines in American Fork canyon. It Is now understood un-derstood from authoritative sources that a few day ago deeds were acknowledged ac-knowledged before a notary here for twenty claims and forwarded to the company, with whom arrangements are on foot to start work about May 10th. , It was expected the work would have been begun on these claim over a year ago, but a few "knockers" are alleged to have caused the delay to the evident detriment of the camp, and the merchant mer-chant and farmers of the valley, for, apart from the question of supplies and the opportunities for labor such work opens up, every long tunnel run into the hills, means more -water for Irrigation being added to the present supply. Important news has been received from the Block Warrior district, the new district on the Middle Boise discovered last fall. A tunnel that has been run to cut the Black Warrior ledge has opened ' the vein. It shows 20 feet of quartz, 3 feet of which Is said to run sone taw a ton, while tarn remainder Is good milling ore .
