Show A tLant AuLotnotUe has recectly been made and sold to a g entleman In Cleveland, Cleve-land, O. It is driven by a SOo-fcorse-power engine and contains as many eats as a Pullman car. The gentleman who bought It, with twenty-seven of his friends, are to pend the summer tourinr the country west of Cleveland. The car possesses every known convenience for travelers and was sold for 135,000. This automobile Is the largest ever bailt and shows what may be done in the future. It Is said that this monster mon-ster auto can climb a hill as easily as though it were a light machine, and Is not more difficult to manage than a small one. Now that good roads are being built between the largest cities why may It not be possible to have lines of giant auto stages, running at short Intervals? In this way the monopoly now possessed pos-sessed by the railroads might be broken. The automobile stage would pay nothing noth-ing for Its roadbed and might afford to carry Us passengers for a cent a mile or lees. |
