Show EASIER IN WALLSTREET NEW YORK, Jan.' 10. Prices started a fraction hlrher all around on a moderate absorption at the opening of the stock marrket today. The market hesitated after af-ter the first few minute, of business and then became easier, when the United States Steel stocks fell below last night. A period of dullness followed but toward 11 o'clock prices Improved. The Metropolitan Metropol-itan stock, ware conspicuously strong and therer was a rood demand for some of the Pacifies and low priced specialties. Prices wavered slightly but resulted and recovered. The movement was narrow except in the specialties. Bonds were steady at noon. Amalgamated Copper managed to get up to 74, despite the .scanty demand. Other leaders hardly varied more than an eighth from the noon prices. Pipe preferred pre-ferred lost its gain, following it. restoration restora-tion to a full dividend basis, and Ice preferred pre-ferred yielded 1)4. Smelting improved a point. Prices of stocks faded away slowly in the afternoon until there was little left of the morning's rise, and quite a few of the leading stocks were quoted under yesterday's yester-day's closing. Wool la quiet, due in great measure to the fact that available offering, of domestic supplies are small. Territory grades, which comprise the bulk of domestic supplies, have been closely sold out.
