A decided stand against record-breaking; runs over public highways 'has been taken by the Automobile club of America. The board of directors of that organi- j ration has, it is understood, indefinitely indefinite-ly suspended a well-known local anto-rnobllist.- who establlched a record in June last between Boston and New York, negotiating 243 miles in 6 hours is minutes. Promises were made by the club last winter before a committee of the New York Legislature that if fair treatment were accorded in ' legislation then pending pend-ing the club would do Its utmost to'dis-courage to'dis-courage reckless driving.
