The child was playing In the street when three boys, 12 to 14 years old, saw blra, and decided to have "some fun." One suggested that they fill his face with mud. The suggest Ion was quickly acted upon and In an Instant they had siesed the little fellow and begun to stuff bis mouth full of clay. When this operation was completed, the rascals then plastered clay over his ears and ran away. The mother of the child saw his predicament pre-dicament and ran to his rescue, but the little fellow became unconscious before she could reach him. She hurriedly re. moved the clay from his mouth and restored re-stored the boy to consciousness. The child Is subject to epileptic fits and the brutal treatment brought a return of the malady.
