Show FOR DAMAGES FOR INJURY TO CHILD The Oregoni Short Line Railroad company was made defendant in a $15,-000 $15,-000 damage suit filed in the District court Wednesday by George B. Hack-well, Hack-well, by Ella E. L. Hackwell, his guardian guar-dian ad) litem, who asks for the amount as damages for personal injuries' received re-ceived by plaintiff who was crushed beneath be-neath a gravel train on Fourth West street near Fourth North on September 20, 1904. The complaint alleges that plaintiff Is only 6 years of age and that he, with other school children, was playing on the gravel train which was standing on the track, when it was suddenly started with a Jerk. The boy was thrown under the wheels and his left leg was so badly crushed that amputation amputa-tion was necessary. The company is charged with negligence. |
