Show LADIES ARE INDIGNANT "Sit SIM" Club Formed by Men in Effort to Better Car Service. , LINCOLN, Neb.. Nov. 17. What Is known as the "Sit Still" club haa Just been organized here by well-known business busi-ness and professional men. It ha a membershfn of over 300, and is growing rapidly. The avowed object of the club Is tho improvement of street car facilities facili-ties in Lincoln. The members affirm that the street car company is not operating enough cara to accommodate the traffic on its lines, sol thev propose to compel' ah" improvement in the service by dcllr.lngto surrender thoir seats to ladles when the-cars are crowded and the" Indies are unable to find stats. They maintain that the company will never improve the service until the ladies of th city agitate the question and demand an Improvement, and they profess pro-fess to believe that the ladles will take igorous action when they find that gentlemen gen-tlemen mill not surrender their seats to them. Many of the ladies are indignant at the action the men have taken, but the members mem-bers of the club declare that they wiH appreciate that action in time. |
