Show BALDWIN QUITE ILL Former Union Pacific Official Of-ficial Is in a Critical Condition. NEW YORK, Nov. 17. William H. Baldwin, Bald-win, Jr., president of the Long Island Railroad company, is reported to be critically crit-ically 111 at his home in Locust valley. He haa been under medical treatment for intestinal in-testinal trouble more than six month and submitted to an operation in September. The relief it afforded was only temporary and his condition is now understood to be much worse than at any time previously. Whether or not he Is suffering from a cancer could not be learned. Mr. Baldwin entered upon his railroad career In 1SS5 as a clerk for the Union Pacific, Pa-cific, of which he became traJTIo manager and eventually assistant vice-president.
