Vanderllp, formerly' Assistant Secretary of the United States Treasury and now vice-president of the City National Na-tional bank of New York, and Miss Nar-oisea Nar-oisea Cox of this city was celebrated at Christ's Reformed Episcopal church last evening. The wedding was a notable one In local society, as Mr. -Vanderilp is a former Chi-cagoan Chi-cagoan and newspaper - man, and the bride has been especially prominent in university and social circles. The bride's attendants numbered mostly her univer- - sity classmates, and the men of the bridal party -included some well-known newspaper newspa-per men. E. W. Harden, a former Chicago newspaper man and now of New York, was the best man. Ttie ushers were Eugene Eu-gene R. Cox, brother of the bride; Elatch-ford Elatch-ford Kavanaugh, George Ade, Allen Grey Hoyt. Ames Hlggins, John T. McCutcheon, Ralph Hobart, Charles Rich and Arthur Johnson, The bride entered the church , alone, while a -double quartette chosen from amonc her university friends . sang the wedding music. , Her gown was of French net made over, satin, with full veil and orange blossoms and bouquet of white orchids. or-chids. Her sister, Mls Clover Cox, was the maid of honor. The bride was given away by her father, Charles Epperson ' Cox. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Cox residence ; for . 800 guests. - Mr. and Mrs. Vanderilp left for New York and will sail in a few days to spend the summer in Europe. |
