Prlngle, supervising engineer of the Indian In-dian school-service, who was recently sent !o the Uintah reservation to seek to remedy the evils complained of there as to the sewage system. has made his report. It appears that complaint had been made by army officers stationed at Tort .Duchesne that sewage from the Uintah Indian school polluted the waters wa-ters of the river, ' from which their drinking water is secured. Mr. Prlngle was requested to confer with Capt. 1 Mercer of the army and endeavor to formulate & plan which would remedy the defects satisfactorily to the army post. It Is now proposed by Mr. Prlngle Prln-gle to run the sewage out some thousand thou-sand feet from the school, depositing it upon some waste and arid ground. Instead of emptying it into the river. |
