Show CONCERT NETS SCHOOL FUND NEARLY $2000 Shortage of $5000 Still Exists; Ex-ists; Commercial Club Will Continue Its Good Work.for Education. . j The Commercial club has completed its statement of the Tabernacle concert receipts and finds that the entertainment entertain-ment gained for the school fund I1S94.43. The gross receipts were $2208.50 and the expenses were $314.07. These figures fig-ures were the principal ones in the report re-port read to the Commercial club by Secretary Fisher S. Harris last night. The report showed that 19,026 tickets were placed on sale at the various places of business and in the schools; 14,594 were returned, 4419 were sold, 13 were lost and two were sold and not paid for. The number of paid tickets taken in at the doors of the Tabernacle was 4162, and as the number sold was 4417 it is clear that 255 tickets were purchased pur-chased and not used. The club has received, in addition to the $1894.43 netted by the concert. $50 from W. H. Dickson. $25 from J. J. Daly and $20 from "Cash." These amounts .Increase the fund to $1983.43. ' The club will leave the awarding of the prises to the schools and children that sold the greatest number of tickets, tick-ets, to the school principals. ' More Honey Is Needed. The school fund shortage amounts to nearly $5000 after the Tabernacle concert con-cert receipts have beep applied. The shortage by schools is as follows: FIGURES ON SCHOOLS.
