Show MINERS ENTOMBED - IN CAVING DRIFT Three Men Caught by Falling Bock; No Known Whether They Are Alive. HELENA, May 18. By a cave-in cave-in at the drain drift of the Egnol placer in Lincoln gulch, four miles from Helena, Hele-na, three miners were entombed. It 5s not known whether they are alive or not. A shaft is being sunk beyond the cave with the hope of rescuing them. The men are Henry Miller, Tom Persell and one unknown. The Coroner has gone to the scene. The drift was being driven to drain the placer of water. It was in 2300 feet. The only hope for the men beyond the cave is that the passage pas-sage is not entirely choked, so that air will be cut off. |
