Both these properties, therefore, there-fore, are known to have very assuring .ore resources already proven, and the new owners are contemplating the inauguration in-auguration of a big scheme for their greater - development, with the intention inten-tion of very big mining. ': ELY EESUEEECTION. . The Ely Resurrection company" lias decided - to open up its estate- on a larger scale than bad been at first contemplated, con-templated, owing to . the exceedingly gratifying success- with which the treasury stock has been absorbed and the high price it has commanded. "None of our shares has been issued for less than 1 per share,'' said President Presi-dent George R. Raymond, "and under our last arrangements we will start big development with enough capital in the treasury to bring the mine into big production very soon. The only thing that may handicap us will be the inability in-ability of the supply houses and the manufacturers of machinery to get our orders filled. -.'The original owners of the stock have donated to the treasury a total of 600,000 more shares of stock than had been set aside for this purpose, and the treasury therefore has 1,400,000 shares out of the total capitalization of 2,000,000 shares. A telegram this morning' from Ogden says: .The Blaekhorse bilver Creek Gold Mining company, recently organized organ-ized by a number of Ogdenites to iterate iter-ate in the new Blaekhorse district, contemplates con-templates the shipment of ore from the surface that carries $148 per ton iu gold and .100 to 1125 silver per ton. E. W. Hulse. the young prospector who found what he calls the Silver Creek ledge, says that there are out-croppings out-croppings for over a mile wherein the values nave been found to be cot Jess than $87 a ton in silver and gold. In many of the specimens in the seven tons of ore already piled around one hole opened on the ledge thpre is considerable' horn silver. . It is Mr. Hulse 's intention to begin shipping from this property as soon ss the necesJ sary buildings can be erected for bunking bunk-ing and blacksmitbing. J . The nay .parts of the ledge range in width from eight to eighteen feet, and the rock is generally rich enough to bear 8 wagon haul to the railroad at Ely forty- miles distant and thence to the Salt Lake smelters, and then leave a wide mar ein of profit. These conditions are . said to attain" in tbe-ledge tbe-ledge as soon as the, surface wash is removed from the pay' rein, and to reach this usually a foot of earth only must be scratched' off, - |
