The central board of officials, aeting under the intercollegiate in-tercollegiate football rules committee, hat arranged a meeting for tonight at -giia Murray Hill hotel. Invitations have bees extended to all the members of tha rules committee to attend, to eoacbes and prominent players in various va-rious institutions, to the 200 men vrho have already been authorized to officiate offi-ciate in games, and to others whose ' presence pres-ence might aid in the furtherance of the objects of the central board to secure a uniform interpretation of the new code. There have been a great number of points of difference in the interpretation f the new rules to arise since the careful care-ful and painstaking study of the new rules began, and all these? are to be - brought up and studied and decided. It is stated that the criticism of the new rules that has come to the committee com-mittee while divided has been generally favorable and there has been no suggestion sug-gestion to reach them urging the necessity ne-cessity of further wholesale revision. |
