Show MOBILE IS SILENT; STORM MOVES NORTH ST. LOUIS, Sept.' 28. No communication communi-cation has been received by St, Louis from Mobile, Ala., for the past thirty-. thirty-. six hours and the extent of tbe storm there cannot be conjectured. Tbe telegraph companies have lost all their wires into Mobile and the Mobile Mo-bile L Ohio railroad, after exhausting - ererw effort to secure communication with Mobile since Wednesday midnight, is now relying upon tbe arrival of a train at"2:30 this afternoon to bring tidings from the supposedly inundated citr. This train should" have left Mobile i yesterday morning bat it is believed it was made up this side of Mobile aud will convey very little information. Wires are working to Jackson, Tenn., where a storm is raging today. |
