Show CHAIN DEALERS MEET RAILROAD OFFICIALS Representatives o the grain dealers and the local railroad official met this morning in the office of J. A. Reeves, general freight agent of the Short Line. After the grain dealers had presented their aide of the question the railroad-era railroad-era held a secret meeting of their own. Among those present were General Manager B. E. Wells, H. Burtner, district dis-trict freight and passenger agent of the San Pedro; General Manager W. H. Bancroft, General Freight Agent J. A. Reeves, Superintendent E. Buckingham, C. Ira Tattle and J. H. Plaisted, assistant assist-ant general freight. agents, and V. R. Gray, district freight and passenger agent for the Short Line; A. C. Ridg-way, Ridg-way, general manager, and S. V. Der-rah, Der-rah, assistant general freight-agent for the Denver & Rio Grande. Among the grain eommissioners who were present are, A. II. Vogeler of the Vogeler Seed and Produce company.Peo-ple'a company.Peo-ple'a Forwarding company, Cleaveland Commission eompanv, Husler's Milling, Mill-ing, Parley L. Williams, attorney for the Short Line railroad, and A. C. Smurthwaite. C. H. Griffin, commissioner commis-sioner for the Utah Car association, was also in attendance. A general discussion of freight rates and tariffs as well as demurrage rates will be dealt with at the meeting, which wiill be resumed this afternoon at 2 o 'clock. |
