Show GOLDEN'S TEAM i ARRIVES IN CITY Will Rest Up for the Game With Utah Tomorrow To-morrow Afternoon. Somewhat tired from their long Journey, but otherwise in the best of condition, the crack Golden football team arrived In Salt Lake this morning and were comfortably com-fortably housed In the Kenyon hotel. With the regular team and the subs were Coach Ellsworth and Manager Ripley. It was arranged that the team should get here early, so that a rest would place the men In prime condition for the game with the University blys on Cummings field tomorrow afternoon. Today will be spent In "rolling around" and living easy. The game is one of great promise , as it is the only medium of Judging the relative rela-tive strength of the Boulderttes and the 8chool of Mines men. who are scheduled for a game in Colorado shortly. Chicago Kan on Golden Team. Nordenholt. Golden's fullback is expected expect-ed to be a prime factor In the game, as his strong right limb has aided the team in many a game. "Nord." as he Is called, played one season under the supervision of Coach ' A. A. Sta:g of the University of Chicago. His ability has more than once been tried and "not found wanting" Then there are uch men as Morrison and Krueger. the Miners' tackles, who are conceded to be the best men in Colorado playing the positions. Utah's players have been put through their stunts In the past few days to the satisfaction of Coach Maddock. On the gridiron tomorrow. Captain Peterson and ijon Ray will be pitted against Golden's clever tackles. Their ability for the places Is unquestionably the be,t of Judgment. Bennlon will be in his old position of fullback. full-back. Kay Be a Kicking Gems. The game will be fast ball, and kicking will be no small part of the affair. Golden is an aggregation of fast, snappy players. The University men are not behind when It corhes to fast playing. Straight line bucks will be few, it is expected, and both sides will depend more 011 end runs. Maddock gave his men some signal practice work yesterday, but no scrimmage scrim-mage work was indulged in. Russell's ankle has improved considerably, consider-ably, and he will be on the field tomorrow. |
