Show NARROW ESCAPE f OR CRONSTADT TREASURY '.ST. PETERSBURG. Nov. 10. During the rioting at Cronstadt th Government treasury there, which was surrounded by a deep moat filled with water, vu only saved from the mob of mutineers and rowdies by the removal of the bridges. Ethelbert Watts, the American Consul General here, received the following; dispatch dis-patch last night rrom Consular Agent Peter Wlgus at Cronstadt: "Sailors aided by a mob commenced rioting here and. several houses were set on Are and shops were robbed. The situation remains criil-cal." |
