It now looks as though the Independent will get the franchise. - Mrs. Halma Smith, one of the oldest rerl dents of Provo, died last night at her home, from Blight's disease. The County Commissioners appointed Joshua Jonea fish and game commlarloner for Utah county. Mr. Jones held tbe of nee four ysars ago. He Is considered one of the best authorities authori-ties on fish and game in the State.
