Show FIVE STATE GASES IN JUDGE DIEttL'S COURT Judge C. a' Diehl 1 considered five cases in the State division of the City court Monday morning, j' Willie Duncan, 15 years old, charged with grand larceny, who is alleged to have stolen a typewriter from the Smith-Premier typewriter agency, on West Second South street, some , time ago, was given his preliminary hearing. He was held to answer In the District' court under bonds in the sum of $250. He . was - represented . by Attorney "Sandy" Fowler. - - ' . ' Peter Fisher, a former employee of the Wells-Fargo Express company's local lo-cal branch; who was brought here from Anaconda, Mont, Sunday, to answer to a charge of having "embezzled $267.14 from that company,' was arraigned.' Fisher said that he was not prepared to plead and asked that he be given two weeks to consult counsel and prepare pre-pare his plea. Time for pleading was fixed for Friday morning at 10 o'clock. . Fisher's bond is $750. . W. B. Randall, charged with robbery, pleaded not guilty and his ball was fixed at $300. His hearing will be held, Monday morning, February 6, at 10 o'clock. ' - . Randall Is alleged to have held up James Hegney's saloon. Second South and Firth West .streets, the night of January 10, and to have relieved the bartender of $7. v John I O'Brien, apparently about 45 years of age, was arraigned on an old charge of assault. - O'Brien was arrested a few days ago on complaint of Mary Gullck, who alleged al-leged that O'Brien had criminally assaulted as-saulted his stepdaughter, Hattie L. Sharkey, 9 years old. May 4. 1903. O'Brien filed no plea, and asked to be given time to plead. Time for pleading was extended to Wednesday morning, February 1. at 10 o'clock. His bond was set at $5000, In default of which he was committed to the county Jail. |
