C F. F Dalby continued the hearing when LaDrue Jensen teacher of law at the University of Utah who was appointed to defend the accused men said that he would be ae unable to prepare for hearing at an earlier date I The original complaint was amend- amend ed by Parnell Black deputy deput county attorney y to appear that Sewells United Unit ed Stores Instead of D. H Hawkins auditor and KirkeM Decker manager of the relief committee were counterfeited on the spurious checks for the alleged purpose of perpetrating the fraud The Thc second complaint is based on a different nt check although it ft carried the same dates date and other printed matter which the original check had on it One of the ch checks ks was made payable to Sam Cole the other to Ray Jennings Jennings Jennings Jen Jen- both of whom are arc believed by authorities s to be fictitious persons
