P Mitchell registrar at Stanford university Dr Mitchells Mitchell's trip here is the result of ofa a petition to Phi eta Beta Kappa from the university He spent Friday morning visiting classes and in conference con terence ference with President George Thomas He was the luncheon guest of ot Phi Kappa Phi the only scholastic fr fraternity with a chapter at the uni uni- Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest and largest fraternity of its kind in the United States Slates and before it grants a charter an investigation of student examination papers faculty administration adminis conduct of classes and library facilities is made Dr Mitchell is making this investigation and he will report his findings at the national convention of ot the thc fraternity this summer sum sum- mer Members of the fraternity living in Salt Lake will hold a dinner for Dr Mitchell Friday evening He will continue his investigation Saturday and will leave f for r Palo Alto CaL Saturday
