Show 3 All Springville citizens are given a special invitation invita-tion to join with Mapleton in the celebration of the 24th Monday, July 25, at Mapleton. Under the direction of the MIA,' of which Donald Knight and Helen Wiscombe are presidents, the celebration cele-bration is planned to entertain both old and young alike. Sunday school officers and teachers tea-chers will have charge of the program pro-gram which will be given at 11 a.m. in the Mapleton ward chapel. The program will honor the memories mem-ories of the stalwart pioneers and will feature outstanding talent officers report. An entertaining sports program will be conducted during the afternoon after-noon and will be under the supervision super-vision of the Mapleton Jaycees. Preston Hooper, Jaycee president is chairman in charge. There will be races and entertainment for the kiddies and a Softball game for all. The Jaycees will have a novelty stand also. The Boy Scouts will be in charge of the Shetland Pony rides for all the younger children with Harold Har-old Gividen directing this activity. Relief Society officers have been in charge of publicity and the Primary Pri-mary organization is providing something special for youngsters with their fish pond. They are also selling doll clothes and for each article bought a ticket will be given for the big prize to be given away during the day to the lucky holder. This prize is a bride doll, completely outfitted with a bridal wardrobe and a silk doll quilt. The beautiful doll will be on exhibit in the J. C. Peney store window from today until the celebration. The day's program is being worked out with both civic and church groups cooperating and a fine time is assured. The MIA will have concession stands and will particularly feature pie alamode. Everyone is invited to participate in the day's celebration. |
