Cameron of this city announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Cameron, to Ted J. Martindale, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Martindale, also of Springville. The date of the approaching nuptials, March 27, was revealed in a lovely-arranged announcement party 'given by the bride's mother on Monday evening at the Cameron Cam-eron home for a few close friends and relatives. Dinner was served shortly after the guests arrived. The table held an attractive centerpiece composed of a miniature wedding cake, on either side of which stood a tiny bride and groom. Tall burning tapers reflected a color scheme of lavender and gold, as each guest received a lovely little nosegay of violets tied with gold colored ribbon, rib-bon, and cards with the inscription, inscrip-tion, "Mary and Ted, March 27." Covers were arranged for the following: Miss Aleen McKenzie, Miss Clara Harmer, Miss Norma Nell Straw, Miss Geraldine York, Miss Florice Hjorth, Mrs. Clara Averett, Mrs. Dorothy Stewart, Mrs. LaRae Stewart, Mrs. Alma Johnson, Mrs. Elaine Fletcher, Mrs. Shirley Peterson, Mrs. Anita Palfreyman, Mrs. Kathryn Robertson, Robert-son, Miss Evelyn Reed, Miss Lois Hansen, Mrs. E. H. Martindale, Mary Jane Martindale, the guest of honor and the hostess. Following the announcement dinner, cards were enjoyed, with Miss Evelyn Reed winning a high-score high-score prize. Also, Mrs. Kathryn Robertson entertained with vocal selections during the evening. Miss Lois Hanson Han-son gave a reading and Mrs. Cameron Cam-eron gave piano selections. Bath the bride-to-be and her fiance are graduates of the Springville Spring-ville high school. Miss Cameron has been employed at the Springville Spring-ville bank for the last four years. Mr. Martindale is a World War n veteran with three years' service in the Seabees. |
