Show State Portion of Hobble Creek To Be Oiled Immediately Long Sought Oiling And Other Improvements On Canyon Road To Be Completed Soon . By Utah County And State Road Commission Determined not to let the Republican Utah county commissioners outJo them, the state road commission has decided to re-surface and oil annroximalelv tKrpp milec -,f road, from a point on Fourth South street, to connect up with the ' county road oiling program on the canyon road. The decision was reached recently recent-ly following a meeting with the state road commission at which Maurice Anderson, Democratic representative from this district, requested that the work be done. The commissioners with Paul En-nis, En-nis, district engineer, made an inspection in-spection of the road and announced that work would begin immediately. immediate-ly. ' The canyon road improvements are the result of continued effort on the part of the Springville Chamber of Commerce road com- mittee which made constant requests re-quests from the county commissioners commis-sioners and of several other public-spirited citizens of Springville, it is pointed out. |
