Show MS (MB TO SPONSOR HORSESHOW j Five-Gaited Horses To Be Featured; Other Events Set At Spring Acres Track . The Springville Lions Club an-nounced an-nounced plans today for their sec-' sec-' ond annual Exhibition Horse Show, scheduled to take place on Saturday Satur-day night, Aug 23, at the beautiful new Spring Acres Recreation center.' cen-ter.' Arrangements are being made to have some of the finest show horses in America exhibited in the gaited classes, including entries from the J. W. Grants' Mt. Map le Stables. Mr. Grant will also cooperate with, the Lions club in securing fine horses from other stables in the state for exhibition at this time. Many novel events featuring local lo-cal horse enthusiasts, are also being be-ing planned. Among these will be a quadrille, potato race, musical chair, saddle relays, calf riding for boys of 12 to 14 years, and other entertainment. Horse owners are being invited to, exhibit their colts in a special halter class exhibition, thus giving those who are raising these fine animals an opportunity to show them at halter. A preliminary to the main show will be the saddle horse races, including in-cluding pony races for children of 12 years, and races for the 12 to 16 age groups, as well as open races. There will be a limited limit-ed number of calves so those boys and girls who are first to get their entries filled out and signed by their parents, will be selected to enter this event.
