Show Robert Eddmgton Admitted To Annapolis Academy Robert Eddington, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Eddington, has successfully suc-cessfully passed requirements in- h s- .. ' - V ' s ' A Robert Eddington eluding rigid physical and mental examinations to be admitted into Annapolis Navy Academy, according accord-ing to word received by his parents par-ents of Springville. An outstanding student, Robert graduated with honors from the Springville high school in 1948, being fifth in his class of 125 students stu-dents for his four year average. He attended the University of Utah the past year and was affiliated with the Sigma Nu fraternity. He studied chemical engineering and joined the Navy contract program, which is comparatively new and students from colleges in the United Uni-ted States. A rigid scholastic examination ex-amination and physical fitness is required of every student. While he was at the University of Utah also, he qualified for the NROTC and offered an appointment appoint-ment to Annapolis, receiving hia appointment from Rep. Wm. A. Dawson. Robert took his entrance examinations ex-aminations for Annapolis in April and was the only one of seven who took them at that time, to make the required average.
