Show City Adopts Budget For The Coming Year Budget Based On 16-Mill Tax Levy Was Adopted By Council Following Public Hearing Monday Night Based on a 16-mill tax levy, a budget for the year 1944, has been adopted by the City Council following a public hearing Monday Mon-day evening, announces Glenn Hansen, city recorder. The tax levy is 2 mills lower than for the past two or three years. The total expenditures are estimated esti-mated at 134,446.05, and are to be divided as follows: General Fund, $36,381.28; State B & C Road Fund, $3,785.00; Streets and Walks Fund, $9,403.62, Waterworks Fund, $9,610.00; .
