Show FIRE DESTROYS THISTLE LUNCH STAND A $16,000 fire, ignited by a gas stove explosion, destroyed the Hi-Way Hi-Way Lunch stand, owned by Mrs. Lois Crandall, former resident of Springville. Traffic was tied up for two hours while the fire raged. Three injuries were reported, when Mrs. Crandall sprained her knee while trying to get out of the blazing building, and Fred Johnson, John-son, a brother, received burns on the face and head while while lighting the fire. A lady was injured when the car in which she was riding was hit by a truck from Price, which was attempting to stop on the ice-glazed ice-glazed roads. Absolutely nothing was saved from the building, which included both home and business. The building was not covered by fire insurance. |
